This is a solo exploration, designing a Chrome extension that helps professionals respond faster and more confidently on LinkedIn.
LinkedIn messaging is where opportunities are made or missed. But for most people, non-native English speakers, introverts, busy founders, crafting the right response takes longer than it should, or doesn't happen at all.
LinkedIn Guy reduces that friction. A Chrome extension that generates personalised, context-aware responses directly inside LinkedIn, without switching tabs or losing the thread of a conversation.

Built to convert. A clear free vs. pro pricing structure, social proof from real users, and an FAQ that addressed the questions most likely to kill a signup. The tone was direct and confident not corporate.

A compact settings panel covering writing tone, response length, model selection, and a personal API key option for power users. Everything accessible without leaving LinkedIn.
Rephrase, shorten, lengthen, rewrite, and tone controls surfaced directly on selected text. The goal was zero context-switching — the tool lives where the work happens.
A quick-reply button surfaced directly in the LinkedIn message thread, letting users generate and send a response with AI.
No live validation yet, this was built on observation. The core assumptions around pricing, tone matching, and what converts a free user to pro remain untested.
The real question is retention: does a tool like this become part of how someone works, or something they try once and forget?
